23 World-Famous Brands Are Hiding in Plain Sight – How Many of These Famous Brands Can You Name?

Here is a fun little test for you. Look around the room you are sitting in right now. I bet you can spot at least five famous brand logos without even getting up. Your phone, your shoes, the TV remote, maybe the snack wrapper on the table. Brands are everywhere, and most of us know way more of them than we realize.
That is the idea behind this quiz. I gathered 23 of the most famous brands in the world, from Nike and Apple to Lego and IKEA, and wrote a clue for each one. All you have to do is read the description and type the brand name. Some will take you half a second. Others will make you stare at the screen like i did.
I managed 20 out of 23 on my first try, and the three i missed still bother me a little. Let’s see if you can do better. Scroll down, take the quiz, and find out how many of these famous brands you can name from their descriptions.
What Is This Quiz About?
This is a name-the-brand quiz that covers the biggest names in shopping, tech, food and entertainment. Each of the 23 questions describes a world-famous brand by what it sells, its logo, or a cool fact from its story. You type in the name, and the quiz tells you if you got it right.
The brands span sportswear (Nike, Adidas), tech giants (Apple, Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Sony), soft drinks (Coca-Cola, Pepsi), fast food (McDonald’s, KFC), toys (Lego, Nintendo), furniture (IKEA), fashion (Zara, Gucci), shopping (Amazon), entertainment (Disney, Netflix), coffee (Starbucks), beauty (Dove), food (Nestle) and cars (Toyota). If you shop, eat, watch or wear things, you will know most of these.
How To Play This Quiz
Read the clue, type the brand name into the answer box, and hit submit. That is genuinely all there is to it. Capital letters do not matter, so “nike”, “NIKE” and “Nike” all score. The quiz also accepts common nicknames, like “coke” for Coca-Cola, so type whatever comes to mind first.
If you are stuck, the hint button gives you a nudge, and after each answer you get a short explanation with a fun fact. My tip: picture the logo in your head while you read the clue. Our brains remember pictures way better than words, and it honestly works.

Fun Facts And Stats
The stories behind these famous brands are full of surprises. Apple became the first company in history to be worth over 3 trillion dollars. Google handles more than 8 billion searches every single day, which means you have probably used it in the last 24 hours. Amazon started as a tiny online bookstore in 1994 and somehow turned into the biggest shop on the planet.
Coca-Cola was invented in 1886 and is now sold in more than 200 countries, which is more countries than most people will ever visit. McDonald’s serves over 69 million customers every day, that is close to 1 percent of all humans on Earth, every day. Starbucks has grown to more than 38,000 stores worldwide since opening in Seattle in 1971.
And my favourite: Nintendo started out as a playing card company in 1889, more than 130 years before the Switch. Lego bricks made in 1958 still click perfectly with bricks made today. And IKEA, the world’s biggest furniture seller, was founded in Sweden in 1943 when its founder was just a teenager.
How Logos Burn Themselves Into Our Brains
Ever wonder why you recognized the Nike swoosh or the McDonald’s golden arches before you could even read? Scientists say our brains process images about 60,000 times faster than text. Brands spend millions designing logos that a small child can recognize, because once a logo sticks in your memory, it basically never leaves.
That is also why the biggest brands keep their logos almost unchanged for decades. Coca-Cola’s script writing has looked nearly the same since the 1800s. When something works that well, you do not mess with it.
From Tiny Startups To Global Giants
Almost every brand in this quiz started small. Adidas was founded in Germany in 1949 by one man, Adolf Dassler. Zara began as a single shop in Spain. Netflix used to mail DVDs in red envelopes back in 1997. None of them looked like future giants at the start, which i find pretty encouraging.
The pattern is usually the same: solve one problem really well, earn people’s trust, then grow. Samsung is now South Korea’s biggest company. Toyota has been the best-selling car brand in the world for more than ten years. Big things really do have small beginnings.
Clever Tips For Teachers, Kids And Famous Brand Quiz Fans
Teachers, this quiz is perfect for a lesson on advertising and media literacy. After students play, ask them to pick one brand and research how its logo and slogan were designed. It is a great way to show how companies try to win our attention, and kids love discovering the tricks.
Kids, your secret weapon here is real life. Think about what you see at the mall, on TV and on your phone every day. The hint button is there if you need it, and typing short answers like “ikea” or “dove” keeps typos away. Brand fans, play against a friend and see who gets the highest score. Anything above 20 out of 23 means you are officially brand-obsessed, in the best way.
